Delete Your Account
You can request deletion of your Honeydew account at any time. When you request account deletion, we will permanently delete:
- All personal information (name, email, account details)
- All recipes, meal plans, and saved content
- Usage data and interaction history
- Device information and system details
Deletion timing: Your account and data will be permanently deleted within 30 days after you confirm deletion through the verification link we send. The deletion process is irreversible.
Important: If you have an active subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you must cancel your subscription separately through the respective store.

The Honeydew app, website, including all of its content, features, and services, is owned and managed by Red Honey LLC. Red Honey LLC is responsible for the site's operations, maintenance, and the accuracy of its content.

Face Data & Hands-Free Mode
We use Apple's TrueDepth APIs solely to power Hands-Free Mode, and all processing happens entirely on your device. The TrueDepth camera (available on iPhone X and later) is used only to detect eye-wink gestures so you can navigate recipe steps without touching your device. This feature relies on Apple's ARKit framework to read facial blend shape coefficients (specifically eye blink values) in real time, on device. We do not use TrueDepth APIs for any purpose other than Hands-Free Mode, and no face data ever leaves your device.
- On-device only: All TrueDepth and face data is processed locally on your device. None of it is ever transmitted to our servers or any third party.
- Sole purpose: TrueDepth APIs are used exclusively for Hands-Free Mode gesture detection. They are never used for authentication, advertising, profiling, or any other feature.
- Collection: We access face geometry data solely to detect wink gestures. No facial images, face maps, or biometric identifiers are collected or created.
- Storage: Face data is never stored on your device or on our servers. All data exists only in temporary memory during an active Hands-Free Mode session and is discarded immediately when the session ends.
- Sharing: Face data is never shared with any third parties, including analytics providers, advertisers, or service providers.
- Retention: Face data is not retained. It is discarded in real time after each gesture detection frame.
AI Connector (Claude & other assistants)
If you connect Honeydew to an AI assistant via our connector (see honeydewcook.com/connector), the following applies. The connector is read-only and scoped to your own account.
- What it accesses: Only the recipes, folders, and tags in your own Honeydew account, and only when you ask the assistant a question that needs them.
- What we store: An encrypted authentication token so the connector can fetch your recipes on your behalf. We do not store your recipe content — it is fetched live and returned to the assistant you connected.
- How it is shared: Requested recipe data is returned to the AI assistant you explicitly connected (e.g., Claude or ChatGPT), subject to that provider's privacy policy. We do not sell your data. Service providers: Google Firebase (your account & recipes) and Cloudflare (hosting & encrypted token storage).
- Retention & control: The stored token is kept until you disconnect the connector in your AI client's settings or revoke access, after which it is deleted.
Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We delete your data immediately when you remove your account.
Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for use by children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 17, we will take steps to delete such information.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our app. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
